Maybe Someone Should Have Thought of That Before They Launched COSMOGirl!
While environmentalism teeters awkwardly between trend and movement, it has become de rigueur for corporations to shame their email correspondents with well-meaning banners like this one:

Harmless enough, until you consider the source. This scold was plucked from an email that originated at Hearst, a tree-gobbling leviathan if ever there was one. This strikes me as hypocritical and more than a little selfish. If they had restricted Oprah to just one magazine we could all probably print out whatever we want with carbon credits to spare.

Listing Forward
This handwritten list—which Alexandra discovered near Lincoln Center—so perfectly summarizes the hopes, dreams, and holiday responsibilities of young (or, perhaps, youngish) New Yorkers, we should probably have it engraved on the Statue of Liberty or something.
